Only fit Co-organiser & Rider
Mark is co-organiser, sponsor and passionate about not only riding but helping raise much needed funds for these two great charities. Mark has poured countless hours into the organisation and coordination of the ride whilst still managing to train for it and juggle his business and family life challenges. He inspires all of us on this journey with his limitless energy and enthusiasm.

Injured former rider, Co-organiser now Support Crew
Trent is co-organiser and sponsor. A back injury sees Trent unable to ride at present, but he more than makes up for that with his spark and enthusiasm to drive the success and safety of the team on the road as rear vehicle support crew. His tasks don’t end with that as he gets involved with all aspects of the ride’s success.

Retired Rider, Co-organiser now Support Crew
Tony is co-organiser and sponsor. This is the 7th charity ride he’s organised, that baby is now 17! He’s hoping this one will eclipse the best of those which was the 2022 Treasure Life Ride. “We have assembled and amazing group of people who gelled into a well oiled machine to generate a huge total for our charities. Thanks to all participating and all those out there that will donate to our cause.”

Mark is from Team Broken Hill. Mark is a fantastic charity event contributor and has been for a decade in Broken Hill. Having Team Broken Hill join our Eyre Peninsula ride is a bonus and blessing and we can’t thank them enough. This year Mark and Tim’s Team Broken Hill expands to 5 riders adding not only funds but more strong cyclists on the road. To acknowledge the amazing contributions of these remarkable people, Team Broken is now a sponsor on the riders kit. Thanks Mark and your team.

A novice ride in 2022 Mandy had plenty of self doubts to overcome, but smashed through completing the ride stronger and more determined than ever. Always smiling even when hurting, Mandy was one of 3 fantastic female riders and the only returning of those in 2024. She will be joined by another 2 ladies this time and will again no doubt look forward to F’s out Friday on our return to Lincoln.

Support Crew
Tessa is our first aid responder. This year she will be flying in from Darwin where she now lives just to rejoin us in 2024. Tessa had blast last year as a last minute replacement. The ride not only makes a difference to our charities but to those who are on it. For Tessa this was certainly the case giving her a sense of belonging and in her words she found her tribe. We can’t wait to see Tess again!

Support Crew
Having been on the sidelines for Tony’s rides back in Newcastle whilst raising young kids, Gina jumped at the chance to join in 2022. Charged with taking photos and videos along the way, Gina also used her creative skills for many things including some fabulous table decorations for the final night. Gina added spark and fun to the trip and looks forward to doing the same on the 2024 ride having been through some personal health issues herself in 2023. Great to have her back onboard.

Peter is a very unassuming person with a heart of gold and the mental tenacity on the bike we needed in our inaugural ride. Peter was in our lead rider’s group and amazingly sourced all the food from local suppliers for our final night at the Port Lincoln Hotel. Peter adds so much to the ride and we continue to thank him for his ongoing efforts for our charities.

Support Crew
Steve is Chairman of Matthew Flinders Home and he and Janiene were integral in the support crew success of our inaugural ride. Steve was our master auctioneer and Janiene holds the unofficial Guiness World Record for the price of selling 2 dozen of her famous pasties. So come along and help break that record again in 2024! We love having them along for the ride.

Rider & Support Crew
Greg joined the 2022 ride with wife Lisa who unfortunately cannot make this event as a rider but will join as Support Crew. Lisa was one of 3 ladies on the last ride and smashed it! Greg & Lisa brought a fantastic Foodland sponsorship as an owner of the Wudinna and formerly Cleve supermarkets. Along with corporate cash very generously supplied most of the daily breakfasts and lunches. Great supporters of the charities and a keen cyclists, it’s great having Cooky and Lisa along again.

I have signed up again as a rider to promote this wonderful charity and because I loved the whole experience last time. The Ronald McDonald house is extra special to me and my family after staying there to support our premature baby and I want to spread the word of this special place.
Also being a Port Lincoln local I am very proud to support the Matthew Flinders Home and all the great work that they do and need to do. Treasure Life supports our most vulnerable young, old and their families and I want to promote and raise much needed funds.

I became involved originally to support good mate Glen Schreiber raising funds for Ronald McDonald House who had supported his family. Had an absolute blast on the inaugural Treasure Life Ride, creating a strong bond with a great bunch of selfless people and actually managed to put weight on after riding 600+kms largely due to the delicious catering provided by our amazing support crew along the way. Looking forward to round 2!

As a local healthcare worker I see how essential Ronald McDonald house and Mathew Flinders Home are to our community. Inspired by the fun the 2022 crew had, I couldn’t pass up this great opportunity to support these two charities that are so vital to the EP.

Derry & Therese Moldrich were support crew in Treasure Life Ride 2022. Derry was driver of lead vehicle supporting and protecting riders. Those people that know Derry, he has a great sense of humour and always had a smile on his face.
Therese was our Accountant, obtaining Deductible Gift Recipient status and Charity Status for the organization. She kept account of all funds donated and reported to Committee on regular basis. She was known to hang out with Gina Baj (media person) and amused themselves with a few different activities whilst waiting for riders to come through.

Carl rode in 2022 with basically zero training and rode every kilometre. He will be much better prepared in 2024. Carl says - “We all know people who are less fortunate than us, I thank my lucky stars every day I have a healthy family. So when there is an opportunity to help people who are not as lucky, I think we should be happy to help in any way we can.”

After a lifetime of cycling for fitness, novice rider Michael Boland thought it was time to put his love of riding to good use. This all came about after a Club industry night that Michael hosted at the Broken Hill Musicians Club, raised thousands for the ride, and a tap on the shoulder from Tim and Mark. Michael joins Team Broken Hill and brings major sponsorship with the Musicians Club of Broken Hill where he is General Manager. Welcome to the ride Michael!

After seeing one of my best mates first hand utilise the incredible services that the Ronald McDonald house offers it was an easy decision to jump on board for the ride. Excited to raise money and support this great cause that’s helps so many people in need!

Callan Hutchinson
Having recently meet the people within the organisation, I was blown away with their passion, commitment and dedication to the charity. I feel privileged to be apart of this group and Im looking forward to contributing with raising money for the charity.
I have zero riding experience which is exactly why I wanted to set myself this challenge. I love a physical challenge, and love the sense of community that a team environment provides. I have done similar type activities like walking Kokoda trail and running half marathons in the past.

Renee Perkins
Health care worker and first aid trainer locally, as a nurse in Adelaide I cared for children on the oncology ward and saw first hand how important the Ronald Mcdonald house is for rural families. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to be involved in the ride with such a supportive team and fundraising events. We both have little to no experience riding in peloton, we will definitely be needing the some training rides.
